Over the years, we've sold a huge variety on items on eBay. Items bringing $10,000 or more include: a Steinway baby grand, 2 Tiffany lamps, a Tiffany vase, several paintings by California artists, a Dirk van Erp vase, a collection of gold coins, a Victorian organ clock, a G. Stickley Arts & Crafts chair, a collection of Audubon prints, a collection of WWI posters and a sterling silver parade saddle.
One 78-rpm record, by the Black Birds of Paradise, brought $4,349.00, a world record. We also set world records for a Shirley Temple doll and a rare piece of Candlewick glass.
Our highest price item on eBay was a Duffner & Kimberly leaded glass table lamp, which sold for $37,960.00. To our utter amazement, it went up $20,000 in the last 6 seconds, due to what is known as a Bidding War.
In some ways, however, we are most proud of the fact that, in 2006, we sold a rather plain lawn sprinkler, from the 1890’s, for $1,313.88...also, a world record price!
